What does the camera show right now?

The camera shows Batsi bay and beach on Andros live, from a fixed point. You see the sea, the sky and life in the village.

The camera belongs to Andros Tours, the business of the same family that runs Bella Vista Design Studios, so the picture is quite literally our own view.

What is the weather like in Batsi now?

The camera is the most honest weather report for Batsi, because it shows the sea instead of an icon. If the bay is flat, there is no wind. If the umbrellas are leaning, the meltemi is blowing and the day calls for the sheltered side of the island. If the beach is full at eleven in the morning, it is July or August.

When is the best time to watch it?

Early in the morning, when the bay is empty and calm, and in the late afternoon towards sunset. The village faces west, so it catches the whole sunset, and that is exactly the view from our balconies. If you would like the same view from your own balcony, see the sea view studios.

Are there other webcams on Andros?

Yes, there are cameras elsewhere on the island, mainly at Gavrio port where the ferries from Rafina dock, which are useful on the day you arrive. Ours is the only one that shows Batsi beach, the very spot where you will swim if you stay at Bella Vista Design Studios.
