Where is Batsi and its beach?

Batsi is built around a sheltered bay on the west coast of Andros, with a year-round population of about 1,000, roughly a tenth of the island. The main beach is sandy, lies inside the village and runs the whole length of the bay.

Bella Vista Design Studios is 10 metres from Batsi beach and 100 metres from the centre of the village, on Andros, postcode 84501. In practice you are on the beachfront and, at the same time, two minutes on foot from the bakery, the mini market, the tavernas and the bus stop.

You do not need a car for anything in the village.

How to get to Batsi from Rafina and from Gavrio

By ferry from Rafina to Gavrio, the main port of Andros. On a conventional ferry the crossing takes about two hours, with daily sailings and more of them in summer. Rafina is about 10 kilometres from Athens airport. From Gavrio to Batsi it is another 7 kilometres, by KTEL bus, taxi or our own transfer service.

You do not need a car inside Batsi: the beach, the shops and the tavernas are two minutes on foot from Bella Vista Design Studios. A car is only needed for the rest of the island, meaning the beaches, the villages and the trailheads. We can arrange car or motorbike hire for you.

When is Bella Vista Design Studios open?

Bella Vista Design Studios is open from March to November. Batsi is busiest in July and August, while the months at either end of the season are quieter and better for hiking. Send us your dates and we will tell you what applies for that particular week.
